Absolutely smashing track from NeuroFunkGrid. If you are in any way interested in the darker side of drum and bass I definitely recommend checking out his YouTube channel. AtoM and Custom Soldierz are completely new to me, but man this track is heavy!
This is a real banger off Dirty Talk’s self titled debut EP. Just out on Play Me 2, this EP is full of some melodic hard hitters. Not so big on the first track, but the rest of the EP is killer. Definitely worth a look.
If you weren’t at Starscape, you weren’t at Starscape.
Be there, 2012, Baltimore. Best dance festival in the DC area.
Loving everything these guys drop. There is an epic drumstep section at the end of this track.
An interesting side note: I started a facebook page for these guys and I messaged Kloe about it. I got a note back saying ‘Thank you for your support, but we actually don’t want a facebook page. So you can go ahead and delete it.’
Seriously? Oh well, they still rock. Enjoy!
Wow. After having found this guy through his collaborations with Imprintz and Kloe, I have finally come to appreciate him in his own right.
His productions are beautiful, heavy, rolling and funky. Pretty much everything the neurofunk crowd is looking for. At least its everything I’m looking for. Enjoy.
This guy is a genius, pure and simple. A master bass guitarist, drummer and programmer, blurring the lines between electronic and instrumental music and fusing jazz, drum and bass, IDM and who knows how many styles of music.
His concepts of music, mind and machine are truly fascinating. Here are a couple of his essays on the WATMM (We are the music makers) forum. And here’s something Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin) wrote about his debut album; Feed Me Weird Things, which I found fascinating.
I love this video, ShockOne + Phesta + Parkour + Vampires = AWESOME!
